I'll continue to monitor the development of Tropical Storm Fred over the next 24 hours. As of now, this poses no threat to the state of Texas.
Our weather will continue to be hot, breezy and humid through the end of the week. Another heat advisory is in effect today and most likely will be extended through the rest of the week. Daytime highs will approach 100゚ with heat index values 105゚ to 107゚ through Friday.
Our weekend weather change is still a good bet, as scattered showers and thunderstorms will return to the forecast. Our storm chance will continue into Monday and Tuesday as well. Afternoon highs will be a little cooler with readings and the middle 90s.
Please remember to drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks if you'll be working outdoors over the next several days.
