The sleet and freezing rain will move into north Texas by late morning and will continue through the afternoon. The sleet will come to an end by mid afternoon, but the freezing rain will continue through the evening and most of the overnight.
Freezing rain should transition to a cold rain by Thursday morning and continue through the afternoon. Now, as the upper level low cruises across the area by late afternoon, some of you may experience a burst of wet snow with temperatures hovering in the low to mid 30s.
All precipitation moves out by tomorrow evening, but the clouds stick around. Morning lows drop into the upper 20s on Friday morning. This will cause any residual water to re-freeze into Friday morning. Sunshine will slowly return by afternoon, with highs in the low to mid 40s.
Our warm up will continue through the weekend and into Monday. Highs Saturday will reach the mid 50s, mid to upper 60s on Sunday and into the low 70s by Monday.
Our next weather change arrives Tuesday into Wednesday with rain and slightly cooler temperatures returning to the area.
