We are starting off in the loading mid 70s this morning, with very few clouds and nothing showing up on radar. Yesterday, DFW airport measured 0.33" of rain, that gives us a brief surplus of 0.13" for 2021!
Not a lot of changes in our forecast through Saturday with morning lows in the low to mid 70s with afternoon highs in the low 90s. Factor in the humidity and it'll feel more like 100 degrees during peak heating hours. There's also a slight chance of a late day shower or storm, like we have been experiencing over the past couple of days. Most of you will stay dry.
Things will change a little bit Sunday into Monday as a cold front settles through the area. Showers and storms may become a little bit more numerous, but nothing severe is expected.
After Monday, high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere, shutting off rain chances and warming temperatures up into the middle nineties. Heat index values will be slightly above 100゚. Typical July weather is just around the corner!
