More 100 degree days to come, afternoon storms possible today and tomorrow

It's the warmest morning in quite a while, as temperatures are still in the eighties across parts of north Texas.

There's nothing showing up on radar at the present time, but we actually have a chance for a few scattered showers and storms later on this afternoon through the early evening. However most of you will stay dry. Lightning and a gusty wind will be the threat if you do see a cooling shower or storm in your backyard today.

After today, rain exits the forecast tomorrow through the upcoming weekend, as our hot weather pattern picks back up.

Afternoon highs today and tomorrow will be close to 100゚. Same thing Thursday, but by Friday, the mercury rises to 102゚. 103゚ on Saturday and 104゚ on Sunday. Heat Advisories will be possible as well... but no Heat Advisories for today.

The extended data I continued to analyze is showing a possible cold front settling through the area by next Monday and Tuesday, increasing our rain chances and dropping temperatures into the mid nineties for afternoon highs. Hoping this pans out, and I think it will.
