We've got a couple of more hot and humid days ahead, then changes arrive late Wednesday through Saturday morning.
Morning clouds and afternoon sun will be the weather story today and tomorrow with morning lows in the mid 70s, afternoon highs in the low 90s. Factor in the humidity, it'll feel close to 100 degrees during the afternoon hours.
By tomorrow late afternoon and evening, scattered showers and storms will form to our northwest along a cold front. I look for these to arrive in north Texas before daybreak Thursday, bringing some noise and some wind with them. As of now, the severity looks low, but will be monitored.

A cold front comes through the first half of Thursday bringing much cooler temperatures with it. We'll struggle to get above 80 degrees with a few leftover showers and storms around.
Friday will be partly cloudy, with a slight chance of showers and storms. Afternoon highs will reach the low to mid-80s.
One more chance of storms late Friday into Saturday morning, as an upper level disturbance comes in from the northwest. After that, the faucet shuts off.
After the clouds get out of here Saturday morning, sunshine will reappear with highs warming into the low 90s. An upper level high builds back over the area Sunday through midweek next week warming temperatures back into the mid to upper 90s.
