We're getting closer and closer to our holiday weekend and it looks like the weather will cooperate for all of the firework shows, however there will be a few isolated showers and storms around the area during the afternoon and early evening tomorrow. After that, we heat up bigtime into next week.
We're waking up to temperatures in the mid to upper 70s and there's nothing showing up on radar at this time. Afternoon highs will warm into the mid-90s today with slightly higher humidity. The heat index value will approach 100°. There is a very slight chance for an isolated late-day storm southeast of DFW.
Your day tomorrow looks sunny, hot and humid with a slight chance for an afternoon or evening thunderstorm anywhere across north texas. Most will stay dry. Afternoon highs will reach the mid-90s again with heat index values close to 100°.
Sunday looks sunny once again and a bit hotter. Afternoon highs will reach the upper 90s. Any showers or thunderstorms that do form will be NE of DFW.

For all of next week, get ready for rising temperatures and no rain. Afternoon highs Tuesday through Friday will range between 100 and 104°.
