More unseasonably warm weather today, slight evening storm chance east of DFW

Monday
National Weather Service - Fort Worth

Unseasonably warm weather, decent rain chances by Thursday, and cooler weather into the upcoming weekend.

We're waking up to cloudy and very mild conditions. Temperatures are in the mid to upper 60s. Sunshine will break out by late morning and another warm day is on the way. Afternoon highs will reach the low 80s again, just like they did over the weekend. There's also a chance for some isolated showers and storms by this evening. The best chance will be east and southeast of DFW.

Another warm day is on the way for Tuesday with afternoon highs in the low to mid-80s. A weak cold front will pass through the area during the afternoon hours. There is a slight chance of a strong storm to the northeast of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but I think we'll stay dry.

Wednesday looks uneventful under a partly cloudy sky. Afternoon highs will reach the mid to upper 70s. Tomorrow's cold front will lift back to the north late Wednesday and Thursday as a warm front. This coupled with a strong upper-level disturbance crossing the area on Thursday will produce widespread shower and isolated thunderstorm activity. As of now, I'm not overly concerned about severe weather, but I will be keeping an eye on the placement of the warm front on Thursday afternoon. Either way, welcome rain is on the way. Highs on Thursday will be near 70°.

Some showers will linger on Friday morning, but the majority of the rain will have pressed to our east. A strong cold front will rapidly approach by afternoon. It'll turn windy and much cooler towards the evening hours.

We'll wake up Saturday morning to temperatures in the 40s. A breezy north wind will gust to 30 mph. Partial clearing with a high near 60 for Saturday. Sunny and 65 for Sunday.
