It's another quiet morning here across north Texas with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Sunny and continued hot today with temperatures in the mid to upprr 90s, with heat index values as high as 103゚. Therefore, no heat avisories are in effect for north Texas. It's a rinse and repeat for tomorrow and Friday as well.
Things start to change this weekend as a cold front backs in from the northeast. This will promote scattered showers and strong thunderstorms, mainly during the afternoon and early evening hours. Some storms could be strong with with damaging wind being the main threat. Temperatures will be a bit cooler with highs in the low 90s.
A few lingering afternoon and early evening showers and storms will continue Monday and Tuesday of next week. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 90s.
