We're waking up to temperatures in the 70s once again. Feels pretty nice out. But, unfortunately it's the middle of August and we're going to warm up quickly today into the upper 90s. No rain is in the immediate forecast. We also have an air quality alert in effect for today.
Your weekend's looking nice, as an upper level ridge of high pressure builds back across the area and then strengthens through the middle of next week. Afternoon highs will approach 100° this weekend. 101° to 102° Monday and Tuesday and 103° to 104° by next Wednesday.
Our next weather change arrives into Thursday as a cold front may glide through the area. If this does happen, scattered showers and thunderstorms will break out along the front. Unfortunately, we're going to have to wait several days for this to happen. Afternoon highs next Thursday may only reach the middle 90s.
