Rain will be around in North Texas off and on through Saturday morning. The rest of the weekend looks nice leading into next week.
Thursday began with temperatures near 60 degrees and scattered showers slowly developing to the south. These showers will continue to stream into the area throughout the day. Coverage will be sporadic across North Texas, however, more widespread rain will impact travel for those heading west or northwest of Dallas-Fort Worth. Afternoon highs will hover in the mid to upper 60s.
More showers and even a rumble of thunder will move through the area overnight. Morning lows will dip into the low 60s.
Showers will be scattered before 12 p.m. Friday but will pick up in intensity and coverage as the afternoon and evening wear on. There may be some embedded thunder, but shouldn't be severe. Afternoon highs will hover in the mid-60s.
Areas of rain and thunder will continue overnight Friday ending from west to east the first half of Saturday. Most of North Texas could get 1-2 inches of rain. Slow clearing on Saturday with afternoon highs near 70 degrees.
Sunday looks awesome with plenty of sunshine. Daytime temperatures will reach the mid 70s. A slow warm up will continue Monday and Tuesday. Some areas may touch the 80-degree mark.
The next weather change arrives on Wednesday as a cold front moves into the area. There may be some showers and storms along the front. It will also be cooler by the end of next week, but not overly cool.
