We've got some scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder across North Texas early Tuesday morning, however the bulk of the heavy rain is in Oklahoma and will miss much of DFW. Temperatures are in the upper seventies to low eighties, with heat indies above 90 degrees in the 5am hour.
We do have another chance for some scattered showers and through mid-afternoon today, and then the rainfall shuts off until possibly late Sunday evening. Heat advisories are in effect for today, afternoon highs in the mid to upper 90s, feeling more like 110 by afternoon.

Heat advisories and/or Heat warnings will be in place tomorrow and Thursday, with afternoon highs slightly above 100° Heat index values may exceed 110 degrees each afternoon.
More of the same weather Friday through the weekend, with afternoon highs around 102 degrees, heat index values approaching 110 degrees.

A weak cold front will try to slide south of the Red River late Sunday and Monday producing some scattered showers and storms, especially north of DFW towards the Red River. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 90s on Sunday, near 100 degrees on Monday. Unfortunately, all of next week looks hot and dry as well.
