I feel fortunate that some areas received rainfall yesterday. And, notably, a few more fortunate locations will experience rain today as an upper-level disturbance continues to drift eastward.
Happy Wednesday, ladies and gentlemen. Today marks the final day for the remaining schools to commence an eight-month educational period. Additionally, students commuting by bus or bicycle should exercise caution due to impending rain approaching from the southwest within the hour, currently affecting Johnson, Parker, and Tarrant counties. This precipitation will persist northeastward, tapering off by late morning. Morning temperatures are presently in the 70s.
Regrettably, DFW Airport did not record any rainfall yesterday, but another opportunity exists today. Similarly, areas along and south of US 380 and east of 281 may experience increased precipitation coverage. Afternoon highs will reach the low to mid-90s, relatively mild for this time of year.
The upper-level system will dissipate by tomorrow and Friday. However, an isolated shower or storm may develop in southeastern North Texas on Thursday, with no precipitation expected on Friday. Temperatures will rise to the mid-90s on Thursday and upper 90s on Friday, potentially prompting brief heat advisories.
The majority of the weekend is expected to be hot and humid, with fair-weather cumulus clouds allowing ample sunshine to warm the environment. Afternoon highs will reach the mid to upper 90s, possibly necessitating heat advisories.
There is a slight chance of an evening shower or storm on Sunday, with slightly higher probabilities from Monday to Wednesday next week. Afternoon highs will reach the mid-90s.
Have a great day today and please appreciate the weather when possible, as it is a fleeting experience.
