A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 9:00 a.m. for much of north Texas. Please allow extra time getting to your final destinations this morning.

Your weather highlights over the next 7 days: Scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder today, above average temperatures through Thursday and then much cooler weather Friday into the weekend. Unfortunately, there is rain in the forecast after today.
We're waking up to temperatures in the 60s this morning with a lot of dense fog out there. Visibility has dropped to less than a quarter of a mile in many locations. Peaks of sunshine today with high temperatures in the mid to Upper 70s. Again there's a slight chance of a few showers and rumbles with thunder today, but nothing severe expected and a lot of you will stay dry.
Tuesday through Thursday looks uneventful. Nice weather for election day tomorrow with morning clouds and afternoon sun. High temperature near 80°. Will be flirting with 80° on Wednesday and Thursday as well, before a strong cold front comes through the area late Thursday night. Unfortunately it looks to come through dry.

Much colder air will rush into the area Friday through the weekend with afternoon highs in the mid to Upper 50s. Morning lows will dip into the 30s in some areas. As of now, I'm not expecting it to freeze, but there could be some frost around on Sunday morning.
Looks like another front may impact our weather the following week keeping temperatures well below average for this time of the year. We might even see some precipitation as well.
