Seasonable temperatures today, a brief cool down on Friday and then a quick warm up into the weekend into early next week. We might even see some rain across north Texas as we work away into Monday!
We're waking up to a mostly cloudy sky this morning with temperatures in the thirties. The wind is light so we're not dealing with windchills this morning. A seasonal day is in store for all of us with afternoon highs in the mid fifties. Wind will shift to the north late this afternoon into the evening behind another cold front. Good news is, there's no Arctic air behind the front and it will quickly modify this weekend. Highs tomorrow will approach 50゚ after a morning freeze.
A quick warm up is in the cards this weekend with high temperatures warming into the mid sixties.
We'll start off next week cloudy and a bit rainy on Monday. High temperatures will struggle to hit 60゚. Precipitation amounts are yet to be determined, but some areas could pick up a quarter to a 1/2 of an inch.
We clear up briefly on Tuesday with a bigger warm up. Highs will reach the low seventies!
Our next decent weather change will arrive Wednesday into Thursday, as a strong cold front plows into the area. This may be one of the coldest air masses we've experienced so far this Winter. You may also be reading a little bit of social media-ologist buzz about the potential for ice and snow by the end of next week…I myself, will not touch this possible scenario this far out. Extended model data has been out to lunch this Winter. But, I will continue to monitor. As of now, I'm not overly concerned about wintry precipitation late Wednesday through Friday.
