The weather stories over the next week in North Texas are slowly warming temperatures, the lack of rainfall, and a weak cold front toward the weekend.
Temperatures were not as cool Tuesday morning as they were over the past several mornings due to a breezy south wind. It will be sunny and warmer with highs in the mid-80s. The south wind will blow at 10-20 mph creating a high grass fire danger.
High pressure remains in control in the upper levels of the atmosphere and that means no rain and a continued warm-up through the week. There will be plenty of sunshine Wednesday through Friday with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Morning lows will be in the 60s.
A weak cold front will try to sneak into the area on Friday, but there won't be any rain with it. This front will lower the humidity a bit this weekend and drop temperatures by about 5 degrees. Highs will be in the low 80s on both Saturday and Sunday. Morning lows will be in the 50s to low 60s.
There will be no changes leading into Halloween week. Plenty of sunshine Monday with highs in the mid-80s. There are signs of a stronger cold front coming through by the middle to end of next week dropping temperatures to near seasonal averages.
