It's starting off a little warmer this morning with temperatures in the mid to upper seventies. Humidity levels are higher than the past few mornings. And there is nothing showing up on radar at this time.

Pretty simple forecast for today into your Father's Day weekend. Plenty of sunshine with afternoon highs 95 to 100゚. Yesterday we hit 99゚ at DFW for the 3rd time this year.

Quick look at the tropics: Tropical Depression #3 continues to slowly develop and the western Gulf of Mexico. It's expected to become Tropical Storm Claudette before making landfall as a minimal tropical storm sometime tomorrow along the Louisiana coast. Texas will feel no effects from this weak tropical storm.

Our next big weather change, albeit brief, arrives a little after lunchtime Monday. A strong cold front for this time of the year will move through the area bringing a good chance for showers and thunderstorms. A few of them could become strong to severe with wind and small hail being the threats. Rain will drift south of north Texas by early Tuesday morning, or sooner. What you'll really notice, is temperatures going from 90゚ at noon Monday, down into the 60s by Tuesday morning! Temperatures will struggle to get out of a low to mid eighties on Tuesday, upper eighties on Wednesday and back into mid to upper nineties by the end of next week.
