The strongest cold front in a 103 years is heading towards the north Texas by mid morning! Be sure to grab your jacket on the way out the door this morning.
Temps are starting off between 45 and 55゚ at this hour. Whatever the temperature is when the front comes through mid morning will be the high for today!
Tonight: Please remember to protect your plants and bring your pets indoors (so have a nice warm place to sleep overnight). Temperatures will fall between 30゚ and 36゚ . Coldest air in 103 years! Btw, the latest freeze ever is April 13th.
Tomorrow, the wind will relax, but it'll still be very cool for this time of the year. Afternoon highs will only reach 60゚. ENE wind will relax to 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday is our transition day. Clouds will increase through the afternoon with high temperatures only in the mid sixties. By the way, 77゚ is our average high this time of the year.
Thursday is our transition day, as clouds will rapidly increase from the SW, especially the 2nd half of the day. This will keep the temperatures from warming up to much. I'm forecasting a high in the mid sixties. By the way, no freeze or frost is expected on Thursday morning.
Friday's weather will be a mess, as welcome rain falls once again across north Texas. As of now, it looks like the heaviest rain will be just south and east of DFW, but this is subject to change. The severe weather threat looks low at this time, but the position of the dry line and warm front will need to be monitored the 2nd half of Friday. I will definitely keep you posted. Afternoon highs on Friday will struggle to reach 70゚.
After early morning rain Saturday, skies will rapidly clear by afternoon, as high temperatures warm into the low seventies.
Sunday looks downright gorgeous with plenty of sunshine. Highs approaching 80゚! It'll be even warmer on Monday, with highs in the low eighties!
Enjoy mother nature's curve ball, and please remember to protect your plants and pets before heading to bed tonight.
