Heat advisory in effect today and possibly excessive heat warnings tomorrow and Friday.
A few lucky ones will see an afternoon or evening strong thunderstorm today with small hail and damaging wind being the threats. Unfortunately, the relentless heat continues through Friday, with a slight cooldown this weekend and even cooler temperatures next week.
Some of you will see a late day shower or storm this weekend, but better rain chances arrive Monday and Tuesday of next week as a pretty decent cold front comes into the area. There'll be many more of these to come in the distant future! Hopefully they'll bring rain with them.
