Sunny, breezy and mild for DFW with warming temperatures into the weekend

Wed
National Weather Service - Fort Worth

We've got a string of nice days ahead, a few storms late Saturday, then some better rain chances late Monday and Tuesday of next week.

Grab a jacket this morning as temperatures have fallen into the 40s across much of North Texas under a clear sky. Today will be comfortable and cool, and a bit breezy once again. Afternoon highs will reach the low 70s, with a north wind at 15 to 25 mph.

The wind will relax overnight tonight as temperatures fall back into the 40s. Tomorrow will be downright gorgeous. Light winds, plenty of sunshine with highs in the mid to upper 70s

Afternoon highs reach 80°, Friday through the weekend with very windy conditions. There is a chance for some scattered showers and storms.

WeekendNational Weather Service - Fort Worth

A weak cold front will move through the area on Sunday, but there won't be any cold air behind it. We'll still reach 80°. The air will dry out briefly though.

Eclipse day is Monday! Right now it looks like an area of high clouds will be streaming into the area by late morning into the afternoon hours. As of now, it looks like the lower cloud deck may hold off until late afternoon and evening out and ahead of our next storm system. Afternoon highs will reach 80°. We're still 5 days out so I will continue to keep you updated on the timing and level of the clouds.

Rain returns to the forecast late Monday into Tuesday.
