Thursday began with temperatures ranging from 32-43 degrees across North Texas, with a calm wind. Thursday will be sunny and beautiful, but breezy, with afternoon highs in the upper 60s.
A deck of low clouds will stream in from the south Friday morning, as temperatures only fall into the low to mid-50s. Partly cloudy, windy, and warm conditions are expected Friday, with highs in the low 80s.
A strong cold front will arrive on Saturday, dropping temperatures from the 60s in the morning hours to the mid-40s by dinner time. Additionally, areas of light to moderate rain will fall across the area, with a possibility of sleet pellets or wet snow mixing in towards the evening hours northwest of DFW.
Skies will clear by Sunday morning, with temperatures dropping into the low to mid-30s, potentially leading to a freeze in some areas. Sunny and cool conditions are expected by Sunday afternoon, with highs in the low 60s.
Plenty of sunshine will dominate Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the low 70s on Monday and mid-70s on Tuesday. Another round of showers and storms is possible late Wednesday, but further analysis is needed to determine the timing and coverage.
