Sunshine and breezy for Halloween day, Freeze Warning tonight for most of DFW

We've gone from late summer to early winter-like temperatures across north Texas. Below-average temperatures will continue through Friday before the big warm-up starts this weekend. Also, it's time to dry out after over 9 inches of rain that has fallen at DFW in October. This marks our fourth wettest October on record. We've also had eight straight days of rain, which ranks 7th all-time.

Happy Halloween! Skies are clear this morning and temperatures have fallen into the low to mid-30s with a light north wind. Afternoon highs will top in the mid to upper 50s, with a north wind gusting to 25 mph.

Trick-or-treaters will need to layer up this evening, as temperatures will fall into the 40s with a relaxing wind. Temperatures continue to fall overnight. By daybreak tomorrow. temperatures will range between 28 and 33°.

It stays cool tomorrow with afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

More frosty weather for Thursday morning, as temperatures fall into the low to mid-30s again. Coldest east of DFW. Plenty of sunshine will dominate your weather on Thursday with highs in the low 60s.

Southerly winds pick up on Friday warming us into the low 70s with plenty of sunshine.

A spectacular weekend is ahead. Ample sunshine and warming temperatures. Readings will jump up into the upper 70s on Saturday, and low 80s by Sunday. Also, don't forget to set your clocks back one hour at 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Monday will be even warmer with afternoon highs in the low to mid-80s, ahead of our next cold front on Tuesday, but it won't be as strong as this last one.
