A weak cold front will bring some clouds to North Texas briefly on Monday, as well as a north wind. This will keep temperatures cool for this time of the year, but no Arctic air is in the forecast anytime soon.
Afternoon highs today will reach the low 50s. Same thing for Tuesday, but there will be a light freeze on Tuesday morning. Make sure you keep your plants and tender vegetation protected.
We jump up into the 60s on Wednesday. There is a slight chance of rain on Thursday into early Friday, but the best chances will be in East Texas. Afternoon highs will range between 65 and 70 degrees.
The weekend's looking decent with above-average temperatures. Afternoon highs will be in the mid-60s on Saturday, pushing 70 degrees again by Sunday. As of now, it looks like our next rain chance will be late Sunday New Year's Day into next Monday.
