Rain chance ramping up
Rain chance ramping up
National Weather Service - Fort Worth

This will be our last chilly morning until the end of the week. Temperatures have fallen into the upper 30s to low 40s. You will need a jacket.

South winds return and the warm up starts today. Plenty of sunshine with highs in mid 60s.

We'll be dealing with low clouds and a lot of wind the next few mornings. This will hold the temperatures way up. Morning lows tomorrow morning will only be in the mid to upper fifties. Some breaks in the clouds by afternoon with a high in the low seventies.

Morning clouds, afternoon sun for Wednesday. High temperatures will reach the mid seventies.

The 1st in a couple of cold fronts arrive early Thursday morning, bringing a chance of a few showers and storms with it. Temperatures will be cooler with readings in the low sixties.

This front lifts back to the north as a warm front Friday. A few showers and storms are possible with highs near 70゚

Our strongest cold front of the fall season arrives late Friday night, bringing a chance of showers and thunderstorms with it. Thursday will be much colder and windy with a chance of a cold rain. Afternoon highs will be falling into the forties. Factor in a north wind to 30 mph, it's going to be a cold raw day. Have fun shopping!

By Sunday, I think most of the rain will have pressed south of DFW, but the clouds will stick around. We will struggle the hit 50゚.

Temperatures will stay safely above freezing this weekend, so no frozen precipitation is in the forecast. There could be a little bit in west Texas...into the South Plains, The Permian Basin and in the Western Big Country, but not for us here in north Texas.
