A persistent active weather pattern will continue throughout Tuesday, with waves of showers and storms moving through the area. The most critical time for heavy rain will be between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., progressing from west to east. Severity will be very low. A flood watch will remain in effect throughout the day.

Good morning, and welcome to Tuesday. The first wave of rain has moved through the area, while the second wave is poised to move through mid-morning to early afternoon. The associated threats include one to 1"-3" of rain, flooding, and a low risk of large hail and tornadoes. Most individuals will be able to commute to work and school before the heavier rain hits. However, it is not advisable to plan outdoor activities such as picnics today. The large area of rain should shift eastward by early to mid-afternoon, giving way to spotty showers in the evening. Temperatures will remain steady in the mid-60s throughout the day.

Please ensure you allow extra time for your commute Wednesday morning due to dense fog, which will reduce visibility to less than a quarter of a mile in some areas. Temperatures will hover near 60°F. Partly sunny conditions are expected Wednesday afternoon, with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s.

The upper-level low responsible for today's rain will slowly move through northern Oklahoma on Thursday and Arkansas on Friday. Energy spokes from the north may produce a few daytime showers and isolated thunderstorms.

However, coverage will be limited. Temperatures will remain in the mid-70s.
Mother's Day weekend forecast appears promising, with plenty of sunshine, lows in the 50s, and highs in the mid-70s, which is below average for this time of year.

A gradual warm-up is expected early next week, with no precipitation forecasted. Please exercise caution while driving today, and enjoy the weather when you can, it's the only weather you've got!
