Mostly cloudy skies through tomorrow afternoon, no rain in sight, and temperatures that'll make you forget what season it is - those are your weather stories over the next 7 days.

Good morning, friends and followers, welcome to Tuesday. That benign weather pattern continues to cruise across North Texas and I'm not seeing any changes through Christmas. The polar jet stream is way up north, sipping hot cocoa, while the subtropical jet is chillin' down in the Deep South, Texas. So, a strong ridge of high pressure will build in late this weekend and stick around next week, keeping rain at bay and temps nice and toasty.

This morning, we're waking up to mostly cloudy skies and temps in the 40s across North Texas. A pretty strong disturbance will roll through South Texas late tonight and tomorrow, bringing rain for them, but we're just getting the cloudy skies. We'll see some slow clearing by tomorrow afternoon. Temps will warm up to near 60 degrees today, and mid-60s for your Wednesday.

Get ready for sunshine galore Thursday through Monday. A blustery cold front will swing by on Thursday, but don't worry, it won't be cold. Afternoon highs will hit mid to upper 60s on Thursday, and low 60s on Friday. Morning lows will mainly be in the 40s, with a few 30s scattered about the rural areas.

Then, a rapid warm-up will unfold on Saturday, with afternoon highs soaring into the 70s. Records will be broken out in West Texas, where some areas will get into the 80s. Another front will come in on Sunday, knocking a few degrees off the afternoon highs, but still close to 70 degrees.

That front will lift north on Monday, with afternoon highs in the low 70s. Temps will keep warming up through Christmas week. Winter starts on Sunday, but it won't feel like it anytime soon. Have a fantastic day, and enjoy this crazy weather while you can - it's the only weather you've got!
