High pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere returns to north Texas this week and through the holiday weekend.
We got a little bit of a break from the heat over the weekend and a few of you lucky ones saw a few cooling showers late yesterday. Rainfall chances virtually shut off for the next 7 to 10 days, with the exception of late Wednesday and Thursday, where a few showers and storms may form... especially southeast of DFW. These will quickly wane after sunset.
Afternoon highs today and tomorrow will reach the mid nineties, upper nineties Wednesday through Friday and then back into the mid nineties through Labor Day weekend.
Right now, our next possible weather change won't arrive until the middle of next week. Remember, cold fronts will start to move into the area by the end of the month and through the end if the year as fall officially arrives on September 22nd.
