Temperatures are mainly in the mid to upper 50s and a south wind is gusting to near 30mph. Some of you are enjoying a fair sky right now, but low clouds will continue to roll in from the south through the morning.
Hold on to your hats for the next few days as winds will gust over 30 mph. This will continue to bring the low clouds into the area each morning through Saturday. Some of these clouds will produce some light drizzle by the end of the week.
These clouds will mix out during the early to mid afternoon each day, giving us a view of the sun from time to time. High temperatures eill be in the mid to possibly upper 70s by weeks end. Morning lows will be in the mid 60s!
By late Saturday evening, a good old fashioned Texas squall line will start to develop about 250 miles to our west. This line should plow through before noon on Sunday. Small hail and wind look like the primary threats as of now.
A cold front will follow and skies will rapidly clear by Sunday afternoon. It will turn windy and much cooler with highs in the mid to upper fifties.
A rapid warm up will take place Monday and Tuesday as this front lifts back to the north. Highs will get back in the mid seventies on Monday and may approach 80゚ by next Tuesday.
Remember, winter is still upon us. A very strong cold front will blow through here by next Wednesday dropping temperatures possibly into the forties for highs by Wednesday and Thursday. We may still have another freeze on our hands by the end of next week.
Do not plant your gardens yet! I will let you know when it is all clear. Typically, after Easter, is a pretty good rule. Also, when the mesquite trees start to bud, your plants will be free to move about the soil!
