Monday started with temperatures in the low to mid-70s and will be mostly sunny, windy, and warm with afternoon highs near 90 degrees. The forecast is similar for Tuesday. There is a slight chance for a strong or severe storm west and northwest of DFW on Tuesday evening.

The next weather change arrives on Wednesday as a cold front slowly slides into the area. This coupled with an upper-level disturbance will produce scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. Some of these will become severe and may contain sizable hail and gusty wind. Afternoon highs will top out near 90 degrees again.


Wednesday's front will lift back to the north on Thursday. This coupled with another upper-level disturbance will produce more showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. A couple of these could become severe. Threats will once again be hail and gusty wind. High temperatures will be a little cooler with readings in the low to mid 80s.

Friday through the weekend will be partly cloudy, warm, and humid. There is a slight chance for some storms on Friday evening. High temperatures will reach 90 degrees. The weekend will likely be hot, humid, and dry with afternoon highs in the low to mid-90s. Heat index values will approach 100 degrees.
