Mild temperatures, colder temperatures, the lack of rainfall, and the grass fire danger will persist, especially west and northwest of the Dallas and Fort Worth areas through Saturday.

Good morning. Temperatures are currently in the 50s under a mostly clear sky. We can expect another pleasant day with afternoon highs reaching the mid to upper 70s. Unfortunately, the grass fire danger will increase today, especially west and northwest of the Dallas Fort Worth area. South winds will shift to the north this evening at 10 to 20 mph, with no rain expected from this first front.

Tomorrow will be cooler with plenty of sunshine, and afternoon highs will struggle to reach 70 degrees, although this is still above average. Our average high temperature for this time of year is 62 degrees.

The second cold front will arrive during the early hours of Saturday morning, bringing northerly winds gusting up to 25 mph. Low humidity will continue, along with the grass fire danger across all of North Texas. Afternoon highs will reach the low 60s, and the winds will subside overnight into Sunday morning.

Sunday will be beautiful, albeit cool, with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s and afternoon highs reaching near 60 degrees with light north winds.

Please protect your plants and pets before bedtime on Sunday, as Monday morning's low temperatures will drop to between 30 and 35 degrees. However, it is likely that DFW Airport will remain above freezing.

Monday will be spectacular, although cool, with afternoon highs reaching near 60 degrees again. We will experience another cool morning on Tuesday, but a warm-up will begin in the afternoon, with readings peaking at 72 degrees. By Wednesday, temperatures will approach 80 degrees.

You may have noticed that no rain is forecasted for the next seven days. Unfortunately, this observation is correct. Have a terrific day today and please enjoy the weather when you can, it's the only weather you've got.
