Thursday started with sunshine and no rain in the forecast until Monday at the earliest. The day started with temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s. It could be a chance to finally get some yard work done, but try to get it completed before 9 a.m. when the temperatures are a bit cooler.
Afternoon highs Thursday through Sunday will reach the mid-90s. Humidity levels won't be too bad during the afternoon hours with heat index values around 100 degrees.
The next weather change arrives late Sunday into Monday and Tuesday with a cold front. I'm going for temperatures in the low 80s for highs Monday and Tuesday with scattered showers and storms. The best chance for storms will be on Tuesday as a strong disturbance moves In from the northwest. It's still way too early to tell the coverage and precipitation amounts.
By Wednesday, we dry out and heat back up to near-average temperatures. Afternoon highs will reach near 90 degrees.
