Rain Monday
National Weather Service - Fort Worth

Keep an umbrella handy this week as you'll need it off and on through Saturday morning. Plus, say goodbye to the below-average temperatures as we work our way towards the middle of the week.

Most of us dodged a bullet as far as the freezing rain goes, as overnight temperatures stayed at or slightly above freezing across North Texas. There have been some reports of some slick spots on bridges that overpasses along the Red River counties, where a Winter Weather Advisory continues until 7:00 a.m. this morning. Everybody else has just seen a cold rain overnight.

A lot of us have seen a break in the rain over the past hour or so but another area of moderate rain is working its way out of Central Texas and heading our direction. Areas along and west of Interstate 35W won't see much rain, but areas to the east we'll see another half-inch of rain through the early afternoon. Temperatures will slowly warm into the low 40s.

Areas of fog and drizzle will develop overnight with temperatures holding steady in the low to mid 40s.

Our next upper-level disturbance arrives tomorrow bringing widespread rain to all of North Texas. Just about everyone we'll see at least an inch of rain as temperatures warm into the low 50s.

Most of Wednesday will be dry until late afternoon and evening, The highest coverage of rain will be east of the Dallas-Fort Worth area as we warm close to 60°.

Skies will clear on Thursday through most of Friday with afternoon highs in the mid-60s.
