The 2025 State Fair of Texas returns to Fair Park in Dallas from September 26 through October 19, bringing 24 days of food, music, and family fun under the watchful eye of Big Tex. Highlights include the annual Texas Auto Show, the Fair Park Rodeo, nightly fireworks, butter sculptures, and a midway packed with rides and games. Food lovers can sample inventive new dishes alongside classic fried favorites, while music fans can catch free performances on the Bud Light Stage with acts such as TLC, Hoobastank, Brian McKnight, Kaitlin Butts, Wade Bowen, Cold War Kids, and the Village People. The grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced "Fronk-en-steen") inherits his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced "Eye-gore"), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. "It's alive!" he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather's. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds.
