DSO: Ravel's Rapsodie Espagnole

Piano virtuoso Javier Perianes, praised by Gramophone for his "infallible ear for style, atmosphere and colour" returns to perform Nights in the Gardens of Spain, evoking Falla's beloved Andalusia with its mysterious, fragrant beauty, strumming guitars, flamenco rhythms and dancing melodies. Our rich, Spanish-flavored concert culminates in Rapsodie Espagnole, Ravel's orchestral masterpiece, showing him as a master of instrumental color. Parade of Lights

Downtown Fort Worth lights up Sunday night with the 43rd annual GM Financial Parade of Lights, a long-running illuminated parade featuring more than 100 lit floats, marching units, and performers along a 1.59-mile route. This year's theme is "Sparkle, Dazzle, Shine!" and the event once again concludes with an appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus. While curbside viewing is free, reserved "Street Seats" along the route are available for purchase and often sell out. The parade was postponed to this weekend.
