This morning, Hobo Johnson stopped by the Kevin & Bean Show to talk about playing The Wiltern, the do-it-yourself nature of his career, and his influences.
"I'm a pretty anxious person in general," Johnson said when discussing the themes of his music, though his music varies stylistically across his work.

When asked about his influences, Johnson cited an array of different artists. "I really like Chance the Rapper...and Bright Eyes," he mentioned, explaining, "I think [the variety of influcences] culiminates in whatever weird thing I do."
Although Hobo Johnson has had viral success, there are still some problems he runs into, especially on the internet. "For some reason, people either hate me with a passion or like me," Johnson said, although he is trying to work through it by stepping away from online spaces.
