VICTORVILLE, Calif. (KNX) — One person is dead, and two others, including a child, were hurt in a shooting outside a mall in Victorville Friday night, police said.

Deputies said they responded to the report of gunshot victims at the Mall of Victor Valley shortly before 9 p.m. The mall's website said it closes at 9.
Authorities only identified the victims as an “adult and juvenile. Both had been shot but survived, they said. First responders took them to the hospital for medical treatment but did not detail their condition.
Victorville police have not identified the man who died.
Police asked residents to avoid the area as their investigation continued.
