Officers recovered two handguns during a routine traffic stop in Long Beach, authorities said Monday.
The traffic stop occurred about 10 p.m. Sunday near 14th Street and Locust Avenue, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

"A male adult suspect was determined to be a prohibited possessor and was arrested," according to a police statement.
There was no other immediate information.
