2 men found dead in Westlake identified

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Authorities Thursday identified two men found dead of apparent overdoses in the Westlake area of Los Angeles.

The bodies were discovered about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of West Second Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Carlos Camilo, about 25-30 years of age, and Erik Vasquez, 28, died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner. Their places of residence were not immediately known.

According to the LAPD, the men died of apparent drug overdoses, and no foul play was suspected. Autopsies were pending.

Paramedics had gone to the location on a report of a "medical emergency," according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. No other patients were treated at the scene, the LAFD reported.
