
A 52-year-old man who was killed in Montebello last week, prompting a homicide investigation, was identified Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
Officers from the Montebello Police Department responded to the 2900 block of Via San Delarro around 3:47 p.m. Thursday regarding a welfare check. When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from an apparent blunt-force trauma to the upper torso, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's homicide Lt. Michael Gomez.

The medical examiner identified the victim as Napoleon Rodriguez Zamora, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
LASD homicide detectives were assisting Montebello police with the investigation.
