The community is working to help Cook’s Corner in Trabuco Canyon more than a week after a gunman killed three people and injured six others.
An online auction will go live Monday, Sept. 4 and run through the week. The money will go directly toward Cook’s Corner and its employees.

Max Gilmore, president of Auto Addiction OC in Lake Forest, is collecting donations for the auction. He told KNX News’ Margaret Carrero that he held monthly car shows at the restaurant’s parking lot and felt compelled to help.
“There was [sic] 12 cars that were damaged beyond drivability after this because of holes and gunshots and several of the staff at Cook's Corner don't have car insurance so they don't have any way to even repair their vehicles,” he said. “It's just to help in any way possible to get the employees back on their feet to keep the business running through this time when it might slow down and people might be scared to go visit.”
He said items being donated are coming from a variety of businesses, including Dixon Flannel and Tito’s Vodka.

Meanwhile, M Street, the band that was playing the night the mass shooting occurred, will hold a benefit show on Sunday, Sept. 3.
The concert will be held at Biergarten at Old World Huntington Beach from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
