A man was fatally shot Monday in Carson.
Investigators responded to the shooting around 12:20 p.m. in the 500 block of East Fairhaven Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died. It was unclear what motivated the shooting, and there was no description of a suspect immediately available.
