A furry intruder invited himself into a Sierra Madre man’s house for dinner.

When John Holden arrived home, he noticed his front door was open and a bear sitting on the kitchen counter, helping itself to a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Holden said while he’s had many encounters with bears, it was the first time one of them made it inside.

"I've actually had them bump into me a couple times in the backyard, but definitely never in the house like that,” he told KABC. “That was something else and they sure made a mess of the place.”

He added the bear in the kitchen wasn’t the only one. One bear was outside the house and another was inside. He said he got the bears to leave by making loud noises.

Holden believes the scent of KFC is what drove the bear inside the house.
