Hoppus was interviewed by TMZ and was asked about how life was going and how he was feeling about being out and about again. “Life’s great! I’m glad to be here,” he said.
Hoppus said that he “wanted to get back into the studio and get back playing music, and get off of my couch,” and hopes to release new music soon. “We’ll see if I can write something happy this time,” he added with a laugh.
As for any lessons he’s learned that he wants to share? “Enjoy every day,” he said.
Back in September, the Blink-182 bassist announced that he was cancer free. “Just saw my oncologist and I’m cancer free!!” He shared in an Instagram post.
He went on to thank his friends, family, and oncologist for their support before detailing what’s next in his recovery. “Still have to get scanned every six months and it’ll take me until the end of the year to get back to normal but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed,” he said.
Hoppus first went public with his diagnosis back in June 2021 and shared that he was undergoing treatment for 4-A diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
