Chuck Norris has dropped his lawsuit alleging that CBS Broadcasting Inc. cheated him out of at least $30 million in "Walker, Texas Ranger" profits.

An attorney for the 83-year-old Norris filed court papers on Friday with Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Kevin C. Brazile asking that the case be dismissed "with prejudice," meaning it cannot be refiled. The court papers did not state why Norris is not pursuing the case, but in October 2019 Judge David Sotelo sent the case to arbitration.

Norris, through his company Top Kick Productions, sued CBS and Sony Pictures Television Inc. in January 2018, alleging the companies were engaging in self-dealing and are not paying his share of streaming revenue. The suit alleged CBS agreed to give him 23% of the profits from the series, which aired on CBS from 1993 through 2001.

Norris dropped Sony as a defendant in May 2022.

A CBS attorney told Sotelo during the hearing on the motion to compel arbitration that the parties agreed in 1999 that all audit disputes would be subject to arbitration.
