The FBI showed up at a man's home in East L.A. after he posted a video on social media threatening a mass shooting if Joe Biden wins the White House.
A spokesperson for the FBI said in a statement that they’re working with their partners, and while no arrest has been made and no charges filed, the man is being evaluated by state officials.
Sources tell the LA Times he was detained by a counterterrorism unit that chases potential domestic terror threat tips and often discovers people connected to potential threats who need mental health treatment.
He allegedly said in a video on Instagram, “At this point like if Biden gets in, I'm just going to do like a school shooter, just take out all these Democrats and a few pedophiles on the way out."
The man again took to Instagram to apologize and said he was heated and upset with everything going on, but he was not serious about it.
"I just wanna say sorry to whoever I offended for my video. I just want to say, first and foremost, I don't plan on shooting up no schools or like killing anybody," he said.
He said he was just upset with everything that’s going on. His sister told me that she was surprised by it because it’s not in his character.
