A fire damaged a garage and house in the Sun Valley area Friday, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters were sent to the 8100 block of North Wilkinson Avenue at 10:04 a.m. extinguished the flames in 17 minutes, Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
"Firefighters prevented fire extension to the adjacent home, which only sustained thermal damage to the eaves," Humphrey said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
