A one-year-old French bulldog named Diego was taken from a Pasadena home Saturday and his owner just wants him back.

KNX News’ Margaret Carrero spoke to Dee DeLara, Diego’s owner, about what happened. She said that Diego had been staying at her mom’s house for the last few weeks.

“I received a phone call on Saturday around noon or actually around one o'clock, and my mom told me that she came home and the dog had been taken from the house,” DeLara said.

Diego was sleeping in his crate when he was taken, she said.

“We are pretty sure who it is and we are not feeling like they were there for anything besides the dog,” DeLara said.

Nothing else was taken from the house. DeLara said her mom’s house is very remote and up a private driveway.

“They would have to have known that the dog was there, and nobody would know that the dog was there,” she said.

DeLara has called the police department to make a report, but there haven’t been any updates.

Diego is neutered and microchipped. DeLara said they’ll pay a $2,500 reward for the dog’s return.
