Norwegian-born singer, songwriter, and producer, Marie Ulven, aka girl in red, is getting set to drop her sophomore album, I’m Doing It Again Baby!.
Scheduled for release on April 12, the forthcoming record will feature 10 all-new tracks, including the lead single "Too Much," which arrives today along with a music video directed by Fiona Jane Burgess and produced by Smuggler.
“I’ve always been told I’m too much. Throughout my whole childhood and in my adult years. Getting shut down when I’m at my happiest or most excited made me feel self-conscious, alienated, and weird,” Ulven says of the new single, inspired by the frustrations of personal connection. “It wasn’t until I encountered the same feeling in my relationships, that I realized how much it actually hurt me to never feel fully accepted for who I am. As well I think culturally people tend to be too cool to have fun or to show true excitement and emotions, and I’m so tired of that facade.”
Pre-orders for girl in red's new collection of tracks, I’m Doing It Again Baby! -- her first official offering since 2022's Aaron Dessner-produced "October Passed Me By" -- are available now. Check out the full tracklisting and album art below.
