A social media influencer was the victim of a home invasion robbery in the Hollywood Hills Thursday night.
Just before 11 p.m., security footage showed two armed suspects waiting outside the home’s front door before busting in through a side window. Once inside, the suspects pistol-whipped one of the victims and stole an estimated $20,000 worth of items, including a Rolex watch.
Ishmael Khan, a social media influencer visiting from Dubai, was one of three people inside the residence near Kirkwood and Mannix Drive. Fox 11 reports they were renting the home through Airbnb.
Khan told KTLA he believes the suspects knew who he was and found out where he was staying from his Instagram posts.
“One of the victims sustained a small laceration, but other than that, all the victims are okay,” said LAPD Officer Rosario Cervantes.
Cervantes said police are searching for three male suspects in connection with the robbery.
