A series of virtual listening sessions will be held to discuss how homeless services and affordable housing funding should be spent in the fiscal year 2024-2025.

One of the meetings will be held on Wednesday for the San Fernando region, including Burbank, Glendale, and other communities. That meeting will be from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

“There is a definite divide between what the community understands we're doing and in fact, we're not listening to what the community's needs are in particular our cities,” Supervisor Kathryn Barger told KNX News’ Margaret Carrero. “Our homeless planning teams need to know if the programs and services will meet the needs of the homeless clients that we're seeking to serve.”

The other meetings are as follows:

Mon., October 30 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: Community input meeting exclusively in Spanish.

Wed., November 8 from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.: Community meeting for San Gabriel region, including the Fifth District communities of Altadena, Arcadia, Claremont, Duarte, Glendora, Pasadena, San Dimas, San Marino, and Temple City, among others.
