The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred at the house of a local activist involved in the recall of L.A. City Councilman Mike Bonin.
The L.A. Times reported that it happened in Venice Thursday evening at the house of Katrina Schmitt. Schmitt said she was inside her home when her glass door was smashed.

The vandalism happened almost a week after "Stop the Right-Wing Recalls," an anti-recall committee, posted a video that contained Schmitt’s name and address, according to The Times.
One day before Schmitt's door was smashed the anti-recall group tweeted that the thread was “deleted and reposted” after personal information was disclosed.
Jesse Zwick, a spokesperson for the committee, told the L.A.
Times that including the home address was a mistake.
LAPD spokesman Tony Im said investigators cannot make assumptions about whether Schmitt was singled out or if the vandalism was in response to the recall.
The ordeal surrounds the recall of Bonin, who was served recall papers in June from constituents in Venice, Brentwood, Westchester and Pacific Palisades.
They claim public safety, homelessness and trash have not been addressed in the district and want Bonin removed for his inability to effectively handle the city's homelessness crisis.
In a statement, Bonin said that the recall campaign is backed by right-wing forces and constituents who have fought to stop housing, shelter and services in the coastal neighborhoods, "leaving people to die on the streets."
